panda’s crisis

IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) researched wild animals facing extinction and edited the “red list”,which identifies endangered animals.

Giant Panda and lesser panda are endangered animals and they are ranked 4th.

So, in 2005, the Chinese government had established about 720 pandas to live in a protected habitat.

However, habitat destruction and poaching poses a threat to the many pandas living outside these areas.

Today, only around 980 pandas are under protection in reserves.

Now, the Chinese government works to increase panda’s population by increasing panda’s habitat and decreasing many threats to pandas.

All Priority Seats

“All priority seats” is the concept for more people such as elderly and handicapped passengers; however, Hankyu Railway already did away with it, because of ineffectiveness to give up a seat.

Yokohama Subway still continue it, carried out a customers survey, some opinion is, “I think I don’t need to give up my seat.” or “Sitting is difficult for younger.”

Each people should know the concept, and should improve their consciousness, I think.

Coral Reefs

Coral reefs are organized by many corals, which are groups of similar types of very small animals.

Coral reefs live in tropical areas of clean oceans. Because of that we can see them in Okinawa in Japan.

Coral reefs are very beautiful. It is one of the reasons of beauty of the ocean on the earth.

But global warming and pollution of the oceans are threatening coral reefs. Destruction is increasing.

We must stop global warming and pollution of the ocean to save beautiful lives on the earth.

We can reduce the amount of CO2 exhausted by power saving or by decreasing automobile use to control global warming. Let’s start from today!

The Problem of the Capital Punishment

1. Capital punishment was executed in Japan recently.

2. There are many arguments for and against about this punishment.

3. The abolition group insists that this penalty is infringing on a prisoner’s human right

4. The retainment group claims that it is required as a criminal deterrent.

5. I agree to abolition theory, because people mustn’t be executed by wrong judgment.

6. And in the US research, capital punishment hasn’t enough deterrent effect to all crime.
