Coral reefs are organized by many corals, which are groups of similar types of very small animals.

Coral reefs live in tropical areas of clean oceans. Because of that we can see them in Okinawa in Japan.

Coral reefs are very beautiful. It is one of the reasons of beauty of the ocean on the earth.

But global warming and pollution of the oceans are threatening coral reefs. Destruction is increasing.

We must stop global warming and pollution of the ocean to save beautiful lives on the earth.

We can reduce the amount of CO2 exhausted by power saving or by decreasing automobile use to control global warming. Let’s start from today!

2.　Discovery of sea route to the North Pole was made by Fridtjof Nansen in 1895. (15)

3.　 The North Pole is warmer than the South Pole because there is no continent at the North Pole. (18)

4.　Therefore, the ice of the North Pole reduces because of the influence of Global Warming every year. (17)

5. Also, recently, the fight is occurring in several countries over natural resources at the North Pole. (16)

Extinction occurs when a species goes extinct. Extinction of species breaks the stability of nature.

For example, some people poach the rare animals or break environment a lows for money. As a result species gradually vanish. Not all the cause of extinction are human activity. But human activities are thought to be the major reason of today’s extinction.

It is impossible to return extinct species. Many animals and plants have vanished through out history. We can’t count the exact number of extinct species. Extinction is still going on and on.

Many animals are on the red list, which means they are endangered. Extinction could happen to the animals that we see in the zoo now. We should try to decrease vanishing species.

To use a lot of fuels causes various environmental problems.

Acid rain is one of them. It dissolves stones or bronze statue, and damages creatures.

What’s more, the gas which occures by use of fossil fuel causes global warming.

Fuel of the earth will run out in several decades. So now the development of new energy like solar energy is emphasized.
